Leeuwarden offers more than 100 kinds of education. You can attend college at one of the MBO (intermediate vocational education) or HBO (higher education) institutes. In addition to their schooling, many students have a job or do an internship. Leeuwarden provides many employment opportunities for youngsters/students. If you will start your education soon, there is a good chance that you will end up on the ‘kenniscampus’ (knowledge campus). At the Rengerslaan, the area between and in front of Stenden Hogeschool and the NHL Hogeschool will be converted into a true ‘study Walhalla’ with sports facilities, an events yard, student accommodations, companies, outdoor cafés, and shops.
